On public holidays some markets are suspended or moved: dates and official sources.
Milan's open-air neighbourhood markets have a fixed weekly day. On public holidays, though, the rule changes: some markets are not held, others are brought forward or run for the morning only.
The City of Milan approves an official calendar each year for the weekly markets on public holidays. Before heading to a market on a holiday, it is always worth checking it.
