A Milan street market

Public holidays 2026

Markets on 1 November in Milan

All Saints' Day 2026 falls on a Sunday: what is open, where to buy flowers and cemetery hours.

In short

  • Sunday 1 November: no street markets. The City's 2026 calendar lists All Saints' Day among the holidays when the weekly markets are not held.
  • Saturday 31 October: a normal market day, with 20 street markets. Saturday markets.
  • Monday 2 November: the Day of the Dead is not a public holiday, so the 14 Monday markets run as usual. Monday markets.

Which Sunday markets stop

Only 2 of Milan's street markets run on Sundays, and on 1 November neither is held: Pagano MM1 and Vittorini. If you need to shop, do it on Saturday 31 October. The largest Saturday markets are Papiniano, Garigliano Segmento 1, Benedetto Marcello and Osoppo.

The City's calendar covers the weekly street markets only. These other markets also fall on Sunday 1 November and follow their organisers' decisions, so check before you go: Corso Buenos Aires and Cordusio stamp and coin market.

Flowers for the cemeteries

Next to two of the city cemeteries the City runs small covered flower markets: Cimitero di Lambrate (5 stalls) and Cimitero Maggiore (3 stalls). Their opening hours are not in the City's open data, so for the holiday weekend it is worth asking at the stalls in the days before.
