The neighbourhood
The Gallaratese is the large planned quarter of the north-west, built in the 1960s and 1970s, with the famous 'Monte Amiata' building by Aldo Rossi and Carlo Aymonino. It also includes San Leonardo and Lampugnano, where the coach terminal is.
The area has two markets: Bonola on Tuesday and Friday, near the M1 and the shopping mall, and via Falck on Saturday. The Parco di Trenno and the Bosco in Città are a little further south.
