Parco Trotter

Once a trotting racecourse, hence the name, and since the 1920s home to the Casa del Sole "open-air school" created for the city's frailer children. The school still runs, inside a park of about ten hectares with historic pavilions, an old swimming pool and tall trees.
It is the identity park of the NoLo neighbourhood, kept alive by a very active residents' committee. There are playgrounds, a vegetable garden and an orchard used by schools, and a constant flow of families and teenagers. Small but dense with history and neighbourhood life.
