A wide green belt between the city and Linate airport, part park and part working farmland, with water meadows, springs and active farmhouses. More than two hundred hectares that lack the groomed look of an urban garden: this is the Lombard countryside left inside Milan.
People come here for long walks along the paths and canals, for the small lake and for the rural feel a short way from the centre. The noise of planes descending into Linate is part of the experience. It borders the Idroscalo, the large artificial lake run by the metropolitan authority.
