Parco delle Cave

Created by reclaiming four sand and gravel quarries that filled with groundwater once digging stopped. Today they are four lakes ringed by reed beds, copses and meadows, also managed by the Urban Forestry Centre and linked to Boscoincittà by a green corridor.
It is a favourite with anglers and with anyone after water and quiet a few kilometres from the centre. You can spot herons, coots and kingfishers; in summer the meadows fill with families. The medieval Cascina Linterno farmhouse is a short walk away.
