The park of the Porta Nuova district, opened in 2018 to a design by Petra Blaisse's Dutch studio Inside Outside. Ten hectares between the Bosco Verticale towers, the UniCredit headquarters and the Isola neighbourhood, laid out as a grid of diagonal paths crossing lawns, flower beds and 22 circular "botanical fields".
It is not a park to get lost in but one to walk through the new vertical Milan, with more than a hundred labelled tree species, like an arboretum. The Riccardo Catella Foundation maintains it and runs a busy programme of free activities for much of the year, from yoga to concerts.
