The neighbourhood
Via Paolo Sarpi is Milan's historic Chinatown, the first in Italy: the Chinese community settled here in the 1920s, around tie-making and leather workshops. Today via Sarpi is pedestrianised, full of steamed dumplings, bubble tea, bakeries and wholesale shops.
The markets
The via Fauché market, Tuesday and Saturday, is one of the largest and busiest in Milan, famous for its clothing and fabric stalls as well as food.
The via Cesariano one, Monday and Thursday, is smaller and more local, towards the Monumentale cemetery.
Around
