Markets in Porta Ticinese - Conchetta

2 weekly neighbourhood markets in this area.

For each one you get the day, hours, number of stalls and its location on the map. The area covers Porta Ticinese and Conchetta.

The neighbourhood

This is the area of the Darsena and the Naviglio Pavese, the heart of Milan's nightlife but also a piece of the city with centuries of water history.

The Darsena, Milan's old harbour, was redeveloped in 2015 and is now a promenade lined with stalls, bars and barges.

The Saturday market at the Darsena

On Saturdays the Darsena hosts the Fiera di Sinigaglia, a historic market of retro goods, records, military clothing, bicycles and curiosities that has run for more than a century.

It is the best-known fixture in the area; the Milan on a Sunday guide covers it too (even though the fair is on a Saturday).

The neighbourhood market

For real grocery shopping there is the via Borsi market, on Wednesday mornings, on the far bank of the Naviglio Grande. Fruit, vegetables, fish, cheese: a local market away from the tourist bustle.
