The neighbourhood
The Gratosoglio is a large 1960s social-housing quarter at the far south of the city, with its residential towers designed by the BBPR studio. On its edges open the farmland of the Parco Agricolo Sud and the Ticinello.
The area has two markets: Gratosoglio Sud on Tuesday and Gratosoglio Nord on Friday. They are well-used neighbourhood markets, with cheap food and clothing stalls.
