The neighbourhood

Gorla is a former village on the Naviglio Martesana, in the north-east. It is known as the 'quarter of the Little Martyrs' after the bombing of 20 October 1944 that hit the primary school, killing 184 children, remembered by a monument on the bridge. Precotto is the part towards Sesto.

The area has two markets: viale Monza on Wednesday and via Aristotele on Saturday, the latter along the Martesana towpath. Both are local neighbourhood markets.
